No More Stop Smoking Myths

Have you ever tried to quit smoking fast only to fail at it? It is commonly known that cigarettes and smoking bring serious health conditions, two of the biggest ones being cancer and heart risks, but despite all the health information about the subject, millions of people keep perpetuating this slowly-killing habit. Why?

When people start o think about their addiction to cigarettes, they certainly consider the bad things, but at the same time, they also consider the good things smoking brings to their lives. What are them? Less boredom, less stress and anxiety, a deep sense of relaxation, increased focusing power, among the stronger ones. But... what if all those benefits were nothing but a myth?

Smoking Myths Take Away Your Money

Changing Our way of Thinking About Smoking

Those benefits would transform into obstacles: smoking would make us bored, more stressful and anxious, less focused. And if you think about it, it is true. From an ex-smoker perspective I can attest, that cigarettes where in fact just temporary fix. You really reach the listed benefits once you stop smoking! So it's like the addiction is deceiving us.

If you start thinking that way, I would say that you are just a shot away to quit smoking fast. Yu see, many of the things we believe of smoking are constructed in our heads. We believe for instance that it relaxes us, but if you quit smoking you realize that that isn't the case. The same with focusing. These are just effects of conscious breathing, which can be easily attained without smoking.

Our Thinking determines Our Success

Does this help quit smoking fast? Yes it does, and as you see it only takes a little vigilance of our thoughts. The process could be even quicker if we at the same time give positive suggestions to our mind. This can be achieved through the use of tape systems, a method widely used by psychiatrists that really work.

I offer my best wishes to anyone who tries to give it up, cigarettes are nasty and pernicious and you don't want them in your life.

I stopped smoking after 19 years on April 11, 2012 at 1:08pm! They're bad enough already but here's something else that smoking takes away from you in this modern world of restrictions, family time! At least when you quit you no longer go outside every 20 minutes having to ask those in the room what you missed while you were outside feeding a dangerous habit!
